Struga started their European campaign in the Champions League, but got eliminated by the Slovan powerhouse Slovan Bratislava. Pyunik also had a tie in the Champions League, but the Armenians lost the battle against Belarus’ Dinamo Minsk. After a 0-0 draw in Minsk, which was a good result, Pyunik had the chance to beat them at home, but the match ended with a 0-1 win for Dinamo. It was heartbreaking for the fans indeed.

With 16 league titles so far, Pyunik are one of the most successful clubs in history of Armenian football. And they have an international squad as well – there were just two Armenian players who started the second leg against Dinamo Minsk.
